Today, there are many well-known sampradayas, such as Gaudiya Sampradaya, Shankara Sampradaya, Shaiva Sampradaya, Shakt Sampradaya, Brahm Sampradaya, and so on. New sampradayas may continue to form over time, each one having its own beliefs, rituals and deity.

However, according to Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, there are only two eternal sampradayas: Shri Krishna Sampradaya – the path of devotion to God and maya sampradaya – the path of material attachment, because only three things are eternal: Brahm (God), jiva (soul) and maya (illusion). A soul can choose to follow either God or maya. Most of us are currently in maya sampradaya because we are searching for happiness in worldly things. But with the guidance of Shri Maharaj Ji, we now seek to follow Shri Krishna’s sampradaya and belong to God. Whosoever listens to Shri Maharaj Ji’s teachings becomes totally convinced that God is the only source of true happiness. Satsampradaya means Shri Krishna sampradaya.
