LEARN MORE
Shri Krishna applies a black-coloured kasturi tilaka or tilaka made from musk. In the material world, musk is a strong-smelling substance that comes from the gland of the male musk deer. Traditionally, a Guru wears a distinctive shaped tilaka. All his disciples wear a tilaka of the same type. The tilaka serves as a reminder to oneself and also informs others.
