Devanagari: अद्वय ज्ञान तत्त्व ISO15919: advaya jñāna tattva also written as advay jnan tattva
An epithet used only for the Supreme Lord, Shri Krishna. Advaya means no second. The defining criteria for an entity to be accepted as advaya are:
- it is self-existent and does not depend on another,
- there is no entity identical to it,
- there is no entity different from it, and
- it operates with its own powers.
Therefore, advaya jnana tattva is one who is:
- sajatiya bheda shunya - non-different from objects of the same nature,
- vijatiya bheda shunya - non-different from objects of a different nature, and
- svagata bheda shunya - non-different within oneself.
