The cultivation of devotion towards God gives rise to bhava. Bhava ripens into prema. Prema leads to sneha and sneha results in mana. Mana gives rise to pranaya. Pranaya ripens into raga and raga deepens into anuraga. Anuraga culminates in bhavavesh and then mahabhava.
