Devanagari: कृत ग्रंथ ISO15919: kr̥ta graṁtha

Compositions which are written by worldly people, that is, those who are under the influence of maya. Consequently, these compositions have the following four flaws:

  1. bhrama - confusing something for something else,
  2. pramada - carelessness or inattention of the mind,
  3. vipralipsa - hiding the reality; to hide one's factual defects,
  4. karnapatava - a lack of experience; an inability to perceive things in their entirety.

Although some things will be correct, there will be other things that are not. Thus, they cannot be considered an authoritative source of information.
