The doctrine of reflection.

Followers of Jagadguru Shri Shankaracharya refuted the prior versions of advaita propounded by Jagadguru Shri Shankaracharya and his followers. They came up with bimba-pratibimbavada. It states that just like the sun, moon and stars cast a reflection on water, the soul is a reflection of God (Brahm). However, this philosophy does not withstand logical reasoning. Brahm is formless. Formless things do not cast any reflection. In other words, a formless soul being a reflection of the formless Brahm is impossible. Again, Brahm is formless. This world has a form, and one can see, hear, taste, touch and smell it. In other words, formless Brahm casting a reflection which has form is unnatural.
