In a spiritual context, this is considered the weakest form of evidence. Its reliability is compromised by two main factors: material limitation and spiritual inaccessibility. Even in the material world, the senses are severely limited and prone to error (optical illusions, limited hearing range, and so on), and our material senses are made from maya, whereas God is divine. Therefore, the material senses are ontologically incapable of perceiving divine form.
