Devanagari: वैराग्य ISO15919: vairāgya
The composite word vairagya is made from vigat (Devanagari: विगत ISO15919: vigata) and raga (Devanagari: राग ISO15919: rāga). The following two conditions have to be fulfilled to call it vairagya: giving up the aspiration of acquiring worldly things and renunciation of having given up those worldly things.
